Teen Driver Found Guilty In ‘Huffing’ Crash That Killed Girl, 5

Carly Rousso, 19, was charged in the death of 5-year-old Jaclyn Santos-Sacramento. Prosecutors say she huffed an aerosol can of keyboard cleaner on Labor Day 2012, before plowing her parents’ Lexus into the Sacramento family on a sidewalk in Highland Park.

Trial Begins For Teen Accused Of Huffing Before Fatal Crash

A teenager accused of huffing computer cleaner before running over a 5-year-old girl two years ago has pleaded guilty to reckless homicide, but still faces trial for aggravated DUI charges.

Highland Park Teen’s Fatal DUI Trial Set To Start Tuesday

Carly Rousso and her attorney, Douglas Zeit, have opted for a bench trial in which Judge James Booras will reach the verdict in the case. Attempts by Zeit and prosecutors to reach a negotiated plea deal in the case have been declared “at an impasse.”

Judge Admonishes Rousso For Missing Court Date

Highland Park 19-year-old Carly Rousso missed her court date Tuesday, after voluntarily checking into a treatment center due to mental trauma from the fatal accident she was involved in last summer.

Lawsuit Settled In Alleged ‘Huffing’ Crash That Killed 5-Year-Old Girl

A civil lawsuit filed in connection with the death of a 5-year-old girl last Labor Day, caused by a Highland Park teenager who was allegedly “huffing” a cleaning product beforehand, has been settled ahead of the teen’s criminal trial.

Suit: ‘Huffing’ Teen Driver May Have Run Over Girl Twice

The allegedly impaired teen driver accused of striking and killing a 5-year-old girl on Labor Day may have run over the girl more than once, a lawsuit filed by the victim’s family says.
