The fire department has brought a man down from the roof of a commercial building in Humboldt Park – after he fell from the building’s water tower.
A teenage boy was shot and killed early Sunday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side, according to police.
The latest shooting happened about 11 p.m., when two men were wounded in a drive-by attack in the Gresham neighborhood.
Police said a 26-year-old woman was driving north on the 500 block of North Pulaski Road around 1:30 a.m. when her van hit a pole and then a wrought iron fence. Her 5-month-old son was ejected from the vehicle.
A 16-year-old boy was shot in the head about 8:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of South Justine Street on Sunday. The boy, of the 1000 block of West 78th Street, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
About 4:25 a.m., the six — two males and four females — were in a vehicle that crashed into a pole, then a viaduct in the 4500 block of West North Avenue, police said.
The fatal shooting happened in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, where a man was found lying on a sidewalk about 7:35 a.m.

A man shot and killed Thursday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood is the father of a 13-year-old boy fatally shot last week in East Garfield Park, authorities said.
The fatal shooting happened about 10 p.m. on the Near West Side. A 17-year-old boy and two men, ages 49 and 18, were standing on a sidewalk in the 200 block of South Western Avenue when a male got out of a dark-colored sedan and opened fire.
Early Thursday morning, a 39-year-old man was fatally shot at a gas station in the Far South Side West Pullman neighborhood.

The fatal shooting happened about 5 p.m. in the 4900 block of West End Avenue. Ronald Holliman, 18, and two men, ages 19 and 26, were outside when a group of males got out of a vehicle from an alley and fired multiple shots.
