Window On Pace Paratransit Bus Shattered By BB Pellet

Three or four passengers were on the bus around 11 p.m. Wednesday, as it was headed east on the Eisenhower near the Independence Boulevard exit, when someone fired a BB pellet that shattered a window, according to Pace and Illinois State Police.

Man, Woman Shot In West Garfield Park

The two were driving in a vehicle about 12:25 a.m. in the 600 block of South Independence Boulevard when a dark colored SUV pulled alongside them and someone inside opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
