A Chicago police officer was recovering at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, after a crash that left him pinned inside his cruiser late Wednesday night.
The lone fatality occurred Friday afternoon in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.
The most recent fatal shooting happened about 2 a.m. Monday at a stoplight in the 1300 block of West Cermak Road.
No one was in custody for any of the shootings Tuesday morning.
