Police and paramedics responded to a call of an unresponsive baby at 10 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Old Willow Road. The child was pronounced dead at the scene, Police Chief Jamie Dunne said at the scene.

Chicago Zoological Society announced that an Angolan colobus monkey had been born at Brookfield Zoo. Both the baby and its mother seem happy and healthy and can be found in the Tropic World: Africa exhibit.
