The man accused in the shooting death of shooting Janay McFarlane denied all charges at his arraignment on Tuesday.
Jim McPherson, 21, was indicted on first-degree murder charges for allegedly shooting Janay McFarlane, 18, the night of Feb. 15. The teenager’s younger sister was in Chicago the same day her sister was shot, listening to President Obama’s anti-violence speech.
Murder charges have been filed against a man in connection with the shooting death of Janay McFarlane, 18, who was gunned down Friday just hours after her sister stood on stage with President Barack Obama as he delivered an address against violence.
