Michigan State played a must-win game against Iowa Thursday and did just that. The Spartans finished with a five point lead and shut down the Hawkeyes.
This was Michigan State’s second straight game they won in overtime. The four point deficit broke Northwestern’s win streak.
Draymond Green scored 15 points, including an offensive rebound basket after a missed free throw with 12 seconds to go Monday night, and No. 18 Michigan State held off a furious finish from Northwestern to beat the Wildcats 65-62.
