About 11:05 p.m., Marquis Mitchell was at the wheel of a parked vehicle with a passenger in the 1500 block of South Kildare Avenue when someone rode up on a bicycle and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Most recently, a man was shot in the West Side Austin neighborhood. The 20-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 4600 block of West Washington Boulevard about 10:35 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to his buttocks.
