A week has passed since Chicago was thrust from subzero temperatures into spring, but the Chicago Park District said Thursday that it needs another week of warm weather to complete an assessment of the damage wrought over the winter to its lakefront running and bicycling path.
Jawaun Westbrook, of the 400 block of East Ohio Street, was charged Thursday with two felony counts of aggravated battery, police said. He was due to appear for a bond hearing Thursday afternoon.
