A Chicago police officer shot and killed a man who allegedly pointed a gun at him Thursday night in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.
The men were standing outside in the 7900 block of South Langley Avenue about 3:10 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said. That’s when a maroon van pulled up, two men got out out and started firing.
Firefighters responded to the 8200 block of South Langley about 1:50 a.m., Fire Media Affairs said. Officials described the blaze as a “small fire that occurred in the rear” of the building.
