After commuters had to deal with nearly four hours of major delays on the Blue Line, due to a power outage on tracks near a downtown subway station, CTA officials said service was returning to normal Wednesday afternoon.
Sandwich School District 430 Supt. Rick Schmitt said an Illinois Central school bus was taking students to Lighted Way, a school for special needs students in LaSalle, when two deer ran in front of the bus as it was headed west on U.S. Route 52 around 8 a.m.
