Markham Man’s Death Ruled Homicide

Mark Angelous, 35, was killed in the 15700 block of Trumbull Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived on the same block and was pronounced dead at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey.

Chase Ends In Crash In Oak Forest

It started around 3 a.m. in nearby Markham, when police tried to pull over a GMC Envoy believed to have been stolen. The driver sped off, with the SUV’s headlights turned off, and police gave chase.

Lesbian Police Officer Sues Markham For Discrimination

Officer Brittney Jackson’s complaint has alleged the harassment began when she joined the force in May 2010, and continued despite numerous complaints. She alleged one officer asked her why she didn’t “give the men on the force a chance,” and claimed another told her, “You need to stop this ‘I’m gay’ mess.”
