The Blackhawks took on the New Jersey Devils and struggled. Chicago made a few comeback attempts but only came close until New Jersey scored two empty net goals in the third quarter.
The second period was exciting between the Blackhawks and Devils with the Hawks scoring one to try to come back. However, the Devils’ goalie Martin Brodeur was injured and removed from the game.
The Blackhawks host the NHL worst Devils Wednesday night after losing four of the past six games. With Brian Campbell back in action, the Blackhawks’ focus is to re-establish their puck-possession.
