Three Officers Among Five Hurt In Little Village Crash

A marked police SUV with its emergency equipment activated was northbound on Millard Avenue about 8:55 p.m. when it was hit by a Dodge headed east on Cermak Road, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said. The Dodge failed to stop at a stop sign before the crash.

Teen Seriously Wounded In North Lawndale Shooting

Martese Gentry was watching a fight between two girls about 5:35 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Millard Avenue when a gunman approached and opened fire, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was shot in the chest and abdomen.
