Woman Injured In I-80 Crash, Driver Charged With Underage DUI

A male under the age of 21 was charged with DUI early Monday after the SUV he was driving collided with a rental truck on I-80, injuring one woman in southwest suburban Mokena.

Friends and family of a fallen soldier from Mokena were preparing to say their final goodbyes on Tuesday, when 19-year-old Army Pfc. Aaron Toppen will be laid to rest after he was killed in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park. The funeral at the church will be Tuesday at 10 a.m.
