Two Men Charged With Fatal Shooting In Grand Boulevard

Terrell Monroe, 22, and Marcae Rogers, 32, were charged each with one count of first degree murder, police said. The shooting happened Friday about 2:50 p.m. in the 300 block of East 47th Street. David Drayton, 23, was shot in the upper body and leg, police said.

Chester Weger, 75, came closer to gaining his freedom last year than he did this year. The Illinois Prisoner Review Board voted 7 to 7 last year. This time it voted 9-3 against parole.

Three More Teens In Court For Murder Of 15-Year-Old

Deafro Brakes, 17, Tarik Brakes, 16 and Isiah Penn, 17 were each charged with two counts of murder and two counts of attempted armed robbery with a firearm. Tuesday afternoon, a judge ordered Deafro and Tarik Brakes held without bail, and set Penn’s bond at $2 million.
