A day after an extra-alarm fire destroyed the offices of the Second City comedy troupe, the theater has canceled its Thursday night shows, while crews continue assessing and cleaning up damage.

About 11 p.m., the teen and a 20-year-old man were in the 6400 block of South Justine Street when a male got out of a passing white Cadillac and shot them, police said. The model of the vehicle was not immediately known.
Police said officers responded to a street brawl near the intersection of Halsted Street and Clybourn Avenue around 4:30 a.m. When they arrived, the officers saw one man beating another with a baseball bat.
Most recently, a man was shot in the West Side Austin neighborhood. The 20-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 4600 block of West Washington Boulevard about 10:35 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

One homeowner in Old Town is taking to Twitter to find the plant thieves.
No horses or people were injured in the blaze, which was mostly contained to a garage and storage area away from where the horses are kept. The horses were not exposed to smoke or flames.
Eddie Robert Simmons, 21, of the 3400 block of West 5th Avenue; Ahmed Martinez Walker, 18, of the 700 block of West 50th Place; and Matthew Cobbs, 20, of the 2700 block of North Francisco, were each charged with one count of first-degree murder in connection with a shooting that left 27-year-old Nacurvie Smith dead.
The most recent fatal shooting happened Sunday evening in the West Pullman neighborhood. About 5 p.m., police found a 30-year-old man unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 11600 block of South Racine with a gunshot wound to his back, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Early Thursday morning, a 39-year-old man was fatally shot at a gas station in the Far South Side West Pullman neighborhood.
During a retail theft arrest about 12:15 a.m. in the 200 block of West North Avenue on May 7, officers used a stun gun on 23-year-old Dominique Franklin, who was resisting arrest and “refused to cooperate with officers,” police said.
The man allegedly stole a couple items from the Walgreens store at the corner of North Avenue and Wells Street around 12:15 a.m. Police said officers deployed a Taser to subdue him when he resisted arrest and tried to run away.
Apparently, this wasn’t the first time a horse was found roaming the streets of Old Town. On the same day last year, about a half dozen horses escaped from the Noble Horse Theatre.
