Police departments around the Chicago area and the country are taking part in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s prescription drug turn-in program Saturday, taking unwanted drugs so they don’t end up in the wrong hands.
Park Ridge police are investigating what they’re calling the “suspicious” death of a man whose body was found early Thursday in the 200 block of Summit Avenue near a Metra parking area.
A suburban attorney has filed a lawsuit against Park Ridge police, accusing them of using excessive force during an arrest two years ago. “This is a systemic problem with them,” he said.
