Paris Brown, 21, and a man thought to be in his 20s were sitting in a parked vehicle about 10:55 p.m. in the 7300 block of South Perry Avenue when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots at them.
Henry Jackson is charged as an adult with one felony count each of aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm and attempted first degree murder, according to Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton.
The shooting happened during a possible robbery a few minutes after 1 p.m. in the 10400 block of South Perry Avenue.
The shootings came as July drew to a close and police officials announced the number of shootings decreased when compared to the same months in 2012 and 2011.
The teen was shot in the arm and leg in the 12000 block of South Perry Avenue about 10:15 p.m.
