The robbery took place about 10:56 a.m. at the PNC Bank branch at 4400 N. Broadway, according to the FBI. The suspect entered the bank, gave the teller a note demanding money, and fled when the teller complied, according to Chicago Police.
A man suspected in five Chicago bank robberies tried to rob a sixth bank in the Lake View neighborhood on Friday, the FBI said.
The FBI has increased the reward to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of a serial bank robber dubbed the “Bandage Bandit,” after he struck for the fifth time Saturday.
The Bandage Bandit is suspected of robbing a PNC Bank branch at 2154 W. Madison St. on March 31, a Chase Bank branch at 3301 W. Cermak Rd. on April 6, a PNC Bank Branch at 3337 W. North Av. on April 22, and a PNC Bank Branch at 2300 N. Western Av. on April 28.
