Storms Cause Flooding In Northwest Indiana, Hail Hammers Southern Suburbs

More rain was expected in the Chicago area on Monday, on the heels of a storm that caused flash flooding in some areas of northwest Indiana, caused hail damage in the south suburbs, and sparked and a possible tornado near DeMotte, Indiana.

Police: Two Killed In Northwest Indiana Crash

About 11:40 p.m. a Dodge Caliber and Ford Windstar were involved in a crash near 285 S. State Road in Valparaiso, according to a statement from the Porter County sheriff’s office. The Dodge was traveling south and drove left of the center line to pass other vehicles when it collided with the northbound Windstar.
