Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Supt. Garry McCarthy met with federal law enforcement officials and local community organizations and religious leaders on Monday to discuss joint efforts to reduce gun violence in Chicago, on the heels of a weekend when at least 43 people were shot, four of them fatally.
