Record Number Of Participants Run At Fundraiser For Fallen Cops

A record number of people participated in a fundraising run today to help the families of police officers killed or injured in the line of duty, reports WBBM’s Mike Krauser.

Wounded Cop Pearson To Be Official Starter For Police Memorial Run

He nearly died after being shot in the line of duty. On Thursday, Chicago Police Officer Del Pearson thanked the officers who saved his life and revealed he’ll be the official starter for the Police Memorial Foundation’s annual “Run to Remember” 5K this weekend.

Thousands Take Part In ‘Run To Remember’ For Fallen Police Officers

An estimated five thousand people came out to the lakefront this morning for the 7th Annual Run to Remember fallen Chicago police officers.
