On Tuesday night Chicago Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster plopped himself down in the interview room at Wrigley Field and told the pack of assembled reporters, “not a fan in Chicago cares what I have to say right now.”
The Cubs are feeling the pressure from some large contracts that are limiting the moves they’re capable of making this off-season.
For Cubs fans, there’s only one thing bleaker than the 2010 regular season. And that’s the 2010 offseason. So far, at least.
Last week, when pitching coach Larry Rothschild bolted the Chicago Cubs (honestly, finally) for the New York Yankees (honestly, seriously?) after a nine-year stint on Chicago’s North Side, I’m pretty sure that one name was the first to pop into most fans’ minds as a potential replacement.
After announcing he would not return to the Cubs organization last week, Ryne Sandberg was hired by the Philadelphia Phillies to be the club’s triple-A manager Monday.
When Mike Quade was named the next manager of the Chicago Cubs, many wondered what would happen with Ryne Sandberg.
(WSCR) – While announcing the Cubs’ coaching staff, it was also announced that Ryne Sandberg will not return as manager of Triple-A Iowain 2011. CHICAGO (AP) The Cubs say Ryne Sandberg will not return as […]
The 2005 White Sox season is one no Sox fan will soon forget. When Ozzie Guillen looks back on that season, he does so with fond memories of the players who made his job so easy.

UPDATE: An Hour after his initial report, Will Carroll made a second tweet saying “Just talked to a guy who’s VERY wired into Cubs. Says I’m wrong, esp. on timing. We’ll see, but he’s seldom […]
