About 9:20 p.m., the she was standing on the porch of a home in the 6800 block of South Sangamon Street when a gunman walked up and opened fire, police said.
The fire was reported at 12:40 a.m. at a building in the 7100 block of South Sangamon, according to Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford. The fire was out within a half-hour, and crews were gone by 1:40 a.m., Langford said.
