Richard Davis III, 18, drove a vehicle across a sports field in the 1800 block of East 76th Street about 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, striking the victim in the process, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

Eight Wounded In Thursday Shootings Across Chicago

Most recently, a man was shot in the West Side Austin neighborhood. The 20-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 4600 block of West Washington Boulevard about 10:35 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

About 1:10 a.m. Monday, a man was killed and another man was critically wounded in a South Shore neighborhood shooting. Officers heard gunshots and found two men shot in the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive, police said. One man, 28, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was dead at the scene, police said.
