Struck By Vehicle
New Lenox police said the boy, from nearby Manhattan, was crossing U.S. Route 30 outside Lincoln-Way Central High School a few minutes after 10 a.m., when he ended up in the path of a semi.
About 7 p.m., the boy was walking in the 1400 block of West 79th Street when he ran into the street and was struck by the vehicle, police said.
The 58-year-old woman was struck by the vehicle about 6:25 a.m. in the 3600 block of West Addison Street, police said,
Firefighters responded about 2:15 p.m. to a strip mall in the 700 block of Golf Road, Des Plaines Fire Chief Alan Wax said. Lilah M. DePaul, 94, was struck and killed by a truck in a parking lot there, authorities said.
