CBS 2 has obtained never-before-seen video of a deadly storm that knocked down a festival tent in Wood Dale, fatally injuring Steven Nincic.
Steven Nincic, 35, was taking shelter from a thunderstorm inside a large canvas tent at Prairie Fest on Sunday, when a strong gust of wind caused the tent to collapse, killing Nincic.
Steven Nincic took his two daughters to Prairie Fest because they wanted him to win some gold fish at a carnie game. And he did. CBS 2’s Derrick Blakley reports.
Chicago might be a big city, but its wilderness isn’t far away. Campgrounds in the area offer amenities beyond the raked dirt patch of your childhood — they’re offering wireless Internet, planned children’s activities and swimming pools. These are the area’s best, boasting everything from ball courts to air conditioned cabins. Oh, and they’ve got places for your tent, too.
The storms Monday morning brought winds so strong that a large tent came crashing down in Palos Hills, injuring at least seven people.
