The Good Wife
Emmy Award-winning actress Archie Panjabi will be leaving the CBS hit drama after six seasons.
CBS announced this week that David Hyde Pierce, who many will remember for his award-winning role in the TV series “Frasier,” will be joining the cast of “The Good Wife” this season.
“Modern Family” and “Breaking Bad” triumphed at Monday’s Emmy Awards, proving that established broadcast and cable fare retains the power to fend off challenges from upstart online series such as “Orange Is the New Black.”
Beginning September 13, 2014, CBS 2 will expand its Saturday and Sunday morning and evening newscasts by a total of three hours each weekend. In addition, the station will begin airing syndicated classic episodes of The Good Wife and Blue Bloods after its weekend 10 p.m. newscasts.
Several actors from hit CBS shows are slated to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.
CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” and “The Good Wife” have received the most nods for the fourth annual Critics Choice Television Awards, tying with many cable networks’ offerings.

Combined with two previously announced renewals, the network has now picked up 20 returning series for 2014-2015.
