Tommy Rees passed for 319 yards in his final college game, Kyle Brindza kicked five field goals and No. 25 Notre Dame muddled through a 29-16 victory against Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday.

Rees Leads No. 14 Irish To 28-6 Win Over Temple

Interception Costs Notre Dame A Win

Notre Dame had remained ahead against Tulsa throughout most of the game. A field goal in the fourth quarter set Notre Dame behind, but it wasn’t over yet. The Irish was on their final drive for the win when an interception in the end zone with 36 seconds left put a stop to their drive.
