Hammond Woman Killed In Calumet City Crash

Charisse E. Wesley, 46, was involved in the crash about 4 a.m. near Torrence Avenue and River Oaks Drive in Calumet City, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Hammond Man Killed In Lansing Crash

Thomas Kiral, 58, suffered blunt force trauma in the crash at the intersection of 178th Street and Torrence, according to the Lake County (Ind.) coroner’s office.

One Killed, Two Critically Injured In South Deering Crash

A car hit a fire hydrant – apparently while speeding – and then smashed into the porch of a home in the 11600 block of South Torrence Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. The car flipped on its roof in the crash.

Cyclist Struck, Killed By Semi On I-80/94 Entrance Ramp

Illinois State Police said the cyclist appeared to be riding onto the Torrence Avenue entrance ramp onto the eastbound lanes of the Bishop Ford Freeway around 5:15 a.m., when a tanker truck struck him.
