City Still Towing And Ticketing Cars After West Loop Parking Ban Lifted

Last July, announcing a two-hour parking ban on some West Loop streets, aimed at preventing people who work or visit downtown from taking up the free spots all day long. The ban ended in December, but signs enforcing the parking restrictions did not come down.

Some drivers are playing the system by displaying police uniforms or other material — suggesting they are members of law enforcement — to avoid parking regulations and fines at a Cook County courthouse. 2 Investigator Dave Savini reports.
