Three men were killed and at least 12 people were wounded in shootings across Chicago Monday. The shootings come after a weekend that left four dead and 32 others wounded in citywide shootings.
The two were sitting inside a van in the 1500 block of South Trumbull Avenue at 12:50 a.m. when they heard gunfire and suddenly felt pain, police said.
Gregory Shanks, 47, was stabbed in the chest about 2:55 p.m. when he was involved in an argument with another male at an apartment building in the 700 block of North Trumbull Avenue.
He was shot about 10:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of South Trumbull Avenue.
