Students Return To Class As Feds Begin Official Tornado Damage Assessment

Federal officials will be meeting with state and local authorities in downstate Washington on Thursday to begin evaluating the damage caused to homes and businesses on Sunday, when tornadoes devastated the small town and other parts of central Illinois.

State, Feds Begin Flood Damage Assessments To Pave Way For Disaster Relief

For the third straight year, business leaders were encouraging consumers to shop at small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. And the White House sent one of its best-known voices to Chicago on Small Business Saturday to show how shopping small can give the country a big boost.
