The 39-year-old was crossing the street in the 1800 block of West Van Buren Street about 9:50 a.m. when he was struck by a black vehicle, causing him to drop his cell phone, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said. A male got out of the vehicle and took the cell phone, then stabbed the victim in the elbow.
The four men were inside a vehicle about 3 a.m. when they were shot in the 4400 block of West Van Buren Street, police said.
