Two suspects were taken into custody Thursday afternoon after they sped away from Chicago Police officers attempting to question them in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
The bodies were discovered about 4:15 p.m. inside a home in the 4100 block of West 63rd Street, police said. The 17-year-old boy and the 28-year-old man were both shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
The girl was with her grandmother about 3:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Marquette Road, when the man attempted to lure her into a black four-door pickup truck, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.
The off-duty officer saw a 21-year-old man attempting to break into a vehicle at West 65th Street and South Pulaski Road about 12:15 a.m.
