A woman was shot while “investigating noises” at an abandoned house in the South Chicago neighborhood early Saturday.
The woman was shot in the wrist and a 34-year-old male was shot in the hip around 5 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Carpenter during a possible drive-by, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.
About 7 p.m., the woman was in the 7300 block of South Winchester when a male got out of a van and shot toward another group of males also on the block, police said.
A 57-year-old woman was shot while riding a CTA bus Thursday night in the Hamilton Park neighborhood, authorities said.
Police had one person in custody Wednesday morning in connection with a drive-by shooting that left a woman critically wounded, followed by a shootout with officers, in the Grand Crossing neighborhood.
A 57-year-old East Chicago, Ind. woman was injured Saturday morning when a bullet pierced the outside of a mobile home, passed through objects inside and hit her in the leg.
