Which Is More Controversial? The Ahmad Brooks Hit Vs. The Tuck Rule

If you’ve been paying attention to football lately, you miiiiight have noticed a big to-do regarding the 49ers’ Ahmad Brooks. See, he hit Drew Brees in a way that appeared as if he clotheslined his neck – depending on your source. The amount of media attention this is receiving reminds us of the infamous Tuck Rule game. But which Is more infamous – Ahmad Brooks’ hit, or the Tuck Rule call? Let’s go to the tape

The call happened a few days ago, so, yeah. Still A Threat Today? Nope! It was so unpopular that it was abolished in 2013.
Maybe, possibly, from a certain angle…kinda. Thinking rationally, Does It Sorta Make Sense? Based on how the rule is written…a little.
Ray Lewis. He offered to pay half. Unlikely Role Player In This Whole Fiasco? The Steelers. When the Tuck Rule was abolished, it was voted down 29-1. The Pats and Redskins abstained. The Steelers were the only team to vote in favor of it.
Hard to say, but probably nothing. This is a quarterback’s league, after all. Legacy? People will literally never stop talking about it.
