Best 4th Of July 2016 Fireworks Displays In Chicago

Seeing fireworks on the 4th of July is a tradition for most. The sky lit up with beautiful colors is a sight to see and the excitement felt on this holiday makes memories that last a lifetime. That time of year is soon upon us and there are numerous fireworks displays in Chicago. Here are the five best 4th of July 2016 fireworks displays in Chicago this season.

Navy Pier is a family fun destination and there is so much to enjoy at this exciting destination.  Boat cruises are available and dining options are numerous. The Navy Pier Ferris wheel is a seven-minute ride and offers spectacular views of the city. The grand fireworks show is presented by the Illinois Lottery's 4th of July ticket raffle and the stunning fireworks display kicks off at 9:30 p.m.

Rockin' in the Park is a summer concert series along with fireworks. Food tents are available to purchase food. There are a limited amounted of picnic tables; it is recommended to bring your own chairs and blankets. This is a free event and the concert will be performed by Denny Diamond. The performance is based on the words and music of Neil Diamond. A fireworks show will follow the concert, which starts at 7:00 p.m. and ends by 10:00 p.m.

Live entertainment and food will take place all day at Arlington Park Race Track along with horse racing. It is a great place for family fun and for individuals of all ages to enjoy the 4th of July holiday. Tickets are required for this event and there are numerous package deals available on the website to choose from. This event will likely sell out, so be sure to purchase tickets online prior to the event.

There are all-day activities happening at this celebration, including a kids fun run and 4th of July parade, so be sure to check out the website for specific times and details for the events. There will also be a twilight concert performed by Palatine Concert Band from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The band will play patriotic music and more. At 9:15 p.m., a musical fireworks show will begin.

Dates: July 3 and 4, 2016 at 3 p.m.-10 p.m.

Festivities at this two-day event run from 3 - 10 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Activities include a Firecracker Rock and Run 5K, field entertainment, carnival, family entertainment and food and drinks. The band Night Ranger will be performing on July 3. There is a VIP package available to purchase through the website.
