One of the great things about the city of Chicago is that there's no shortage of places to eat, drink and be merry. If the Prohibition in the 1920s didn't slow down Chicagoans looking to knock back a drink or two, then nothing will. That tradition continues to this day with new bars opening all over this vast city, creating diverse options for socializing, eating and drinking. Here are a few of the best bars in Chicago that opened in the year 2015.

The latest addition to Chicago's part in the craft beer revolution is the new BreakRoom Brewery on the Northwest side. In a bright and modern industrial warehouse type setting, patrons can enjoy both BreakRoom Brewery's signature beers as well as some great eats. Open for lunch and dinner, basically any dish that is accompanied by their beer soaked fries is a winner. If you find a favorite beer of theirs when hanging out at the BreakRoom, be sure to take some of it home in a crowler — which is their jazzy growler in a can.

Having just opened in August, The Hideout Riverwalk in Chicago's trendy River North area isn't your typical downtown type of bar. The Hideout Riverwalk is set up with a laid back environment where you won't be spending an arm and a leg on your drinks. Located in the Pilson area in a former carriage house, the Tack Room is popular with the hipsters and general bar-goers alike. Reservations are recommended for this new spot which became popular right from the get-go. A bit on the smaller side, Ampersand does get crowded, but what better way to meet some new people over a delightful glass of wine?
