With Chicago's frightfully cold winter weather, it's often tempting to not go out at all. But when cabin fever hits, you can still go out and socialize, and warm up by cozying up next to a fire. So put up your feet and relax, we've got you covered. Here are five of the best bars with fireplaces in the city (in addition to those listed here).

The restaurant on the 7th floor of the Four Seasons, Allium, on the Near North Side offers an elegant dining experience with farm-to-table fare. If you're lucky enough, you can even score a table in the charming restaurant interior near the stunning marble fireplace. Or, if you're just going for a cocktail, enjoy it in front of the fireplace while sitting on the couch and cozying up to your date. Between the decor and the roaring fire, you'll warm right up.

There are a lot of bars in the city, so why pick this one to throw back a few drinks? For starters, it's a rooftop bar on the Raffaello Hotel, but it's a great place to visit even when the weather is cold. And that's, in part, because of its fireplaces (one both inside and out on the patio), which adds to the atmosphere in this intimate and charming Gold Coast neighborhood spot. The other reason to go? Some amazing drinks like the Saturday cartoons (made with cinnamon toast crunch infused Zaya 12-year rum), crafted by Alex Renshaw.

Perfect both as a restaurant as well as a bar hangout spot, Fountainhead in the Ravenswood neighborhood is perhaps best known for its enormous selection of beers, especially craft beers. But what makes this place even more inviting is the decor, including the fireplace, which is the perfect place to be even when the polar vortex hits. During the summer and other chilly nights when the rooftop bar is open, Fountainhead also has a fireplace on the roof to keep guests nice and toasty.

You'll feel like you're right at home when you're nestled up on a couch next to the fireplace in the corner of this Lincoln Square Irish Pub. Plus, this pub isn't your typical bar by any means. Instead of TVs blaring from every corner, you've got some music on — as well as some live entertainment some nights — but it's the right decibel that you can easily enjoy conversation with your friends or your significant other. After all, the fireplace nook is the perfect spot to start your date night.

There are two ways to warm up in this Logan Square bar. For one, imbibe on some of the best gin-infused cocktails in the city, which will warm you from the inside out. And the second is the fireplace of course, which you can enjoy while hanging out on the plush couches. Just in case you need another reason, the fresh, house-made cookies promptly handed out at midnight are a welcome treat.
