Chicago’s largest recreational cooking school and gourmet retail store, offers demonstrations, hands-on cooking and wine classes, as well as private cooking parties. Classes at the two Chicago locations cover basic to advanced cooking. Also be sure to check for their date night specials.

Classes range from $45-$80.

The Wooden Spoon is perfect for everyone from chefs-in-training to home cooks. Sample classes include sushi making, cookie decorating, couples classes, and party hosting. They have a great variety of classes, kitchenware, and gadgets to turn any home cook into a chef!

The Kids’ Table is a great way to introduce different foods and healthy eating habits to children. Kids will learn all aspects of meal preparation from ingredients to clean up.

Classes at Heat and Spice range from weekly classes to large groups and special events. Depending on the class, courses may also be at the Ravenswood, Lincoln Park, and Old Town locations. Classes are also offered at the homes or businesses of those looking to throw a party, or team building event.

Though Le Cordon Bleu is an accredited college for the culinary arts, non-professional cooking classes are also offered. Designed for food-lovers of all ages, these non-professional cooking classes provide an opportunity to improve at home cooking and entertaining skills.  Learn to cook from a pro–Courses are taught by the same chef instructors that teach aspiring culinary professionals.

Classes are $90.
