Do your New Year's resolutions include getting more exercise? While you might think you'll work up a sweat this winter by shoveling out your driveway, consider heading indoors to a fitness center instead. From yoga classes to swimming in indoor pools, there are plenty of ways to exercise, meet new people and reach your fitness goals. The Chicago Yoga Center, located in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, offers classes in Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin yoga. You don't need to have years of experience with yoga, either, as the center offers classes specifically for beginners. Classes are scheduled for every day of the week, with several scheduled in the evenings. Dance SPA offers an assortment of dance classes, including Zumba and body sculpt, where you can get a workout and meet new friends. The center, which is located in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, offers flexibility, too, with its drop-in classes. Located in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood, the community center has plenty of ways to stay in shape. The fitness center also has tennis courts, a football field and other facilities so you can try different types of sports and exercise. You can get an early start to your workout routine, as the fitness center opens at 5:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.
