To some, magic is “the claimed art of altering things either by supernatural means or through knowledge of occult natural laws unknown to science.” To others it is a source of enjoyment in the form of a magic show. Whether it is a birthday party, a trade show, weddings, corporate events, or on the big stage in Las Vegas, magic comes in all shapes and sizes.

We are here to help you decide on some of the area’s best magicians. Check them out and see if any of them fit your needs, or is it all just an illusion?

Something happened here that I don’t understand.” Widely regarded as one of the finest close-up magicians in the world (meaning he performs tricks right under your nose), Burger is intrigued by the psychology and the philosophy that lie behind his tricks.

Mike specializes in “Close-up” magic, which is performed in the hands of your guests. It is like having your own private magic show that is perfect for private parties, corporate events, birthdays, weddings, and trade shows.

Mike defines close-up magic as: “An intimate form of entertainment that is performed right in front of the guests.” Mike’s magic is designed more for the adult audience, meaning more sophisticated and elegant, and isn’t meant to embarrass anyone.

I concur that these three magicians are wonderfully professional, and should rightfully appear on this list, On the other hand, I can name dozens of equally talented and impressive Chicago magicians that do not appear. I know your space is limited. However, we can’t help but feel slighted by your mention of only three “Chicago Best”. Chicago is considered by many to be the Magic capital of the world, with many, many more world renowned magicians. It will appear to others in this large magic community like little or no effort was made in researching your story.

I’m not saying I’m not happy about showcasing magicians. I just saying, get ALL the facts, and get them right. My eight and ten year old granddaughters can tell you more about the best Magicians Chicago has to offer than the writer of this article.
