Although only 24 years old, G.E.M. began her songwriting career at only five years old. G.E.M. is not only Hong Kong's number one female singer, but she's also been hitting charts and is well-loved all over the planet including right here in Chicago. Her name is an acronym for "Get Everybody Moving," and audiences at a G.E.M. concert simply won't be able to help themselves when she takes the stage with her bubbly and poppy sound. The holiday season is coming early to the heavy metal lovers in Chicago, because instead of looking forward to a visit from Santa, there will be one from King Diamond instead. Known for his wide vocal range and shock-rock makeup and regalia, be it with his band Mercyful Fate or solo, King Diamond has been wowing music lovers since the early 70s. And joining his majesty on this tour is another band deserving of the ranks of heavy metal royalty -- thrash legends Exodus. All this rock and roll goodness is coming to the Aragon Ballroom on Friday, Nov. 27.

Known primarily for making waves in the emo/pop-punk scene with the band My Chemical Romance, frontman and guitarist Frank Lero is still making the prettiest of noises. Currently on tour with his band frnklero andthe cellabration, Lero will be bringing his brand of post-hardcore, alternative rock to Chicago this November. With a level of energy to rival only the power of the sound system once Iero plugs into his amps, Frank Iero and company simply know how to put on a solid and punky rock show. They'll be playing at The Metro on Sunday, Nov. 29.

It's hard to mistake the distinctive jazz bass sounds of a living legend like Stanley Clarke. With more than four decades in the business and a slew of awards to his name, Clarke took an instrument all too often only considered part of the rhythm section and brought it to the forefront. This autumn, be sure to come out to Evanston's S.P.A.C.E. and delight in this bass guitar and musical virtuoso. Clarke will be playing two shows on Friday, Nov. 20.
