You might want to sleep in New Year's Day, but there is nothing better to kick that hangover from too much champagne the night before then to have a hearty breakfast the next morning. You don't even need to get out of your pajamas to enjoy brunch at some places. And if you want to keep the party going that you started on New Year's Eve, most places have Bloody Mary and mimosa specials.

Café Ba-Ba-Reeba!

Don't be embarrassed about wearing your pajamas here for brunch because anyone who does receives a gift certificate in the amount of your brunch bill. Eat brunch with a Spanish flair, but still find the favorites like waffles, French toast and pancakes.

Third Coast Café

Located at the heart of the Gold Coast, Third Coast Café has been serving people for the past 25 years. Sit with the locals and admire the great pieces of hanging artwork for sale. They serve breakfast all day long at reasonable prices, but brunch on New Years Day will start at 8 a.m. and will run until 3 p.m. They offer a multitude of omelettes, scones, and even stuffed French toast with melted brie.

Hub 51

Looking for a later start to your morning and an opportunity to keep ringing in the holiday, then head over to River North's Hub 51. For $30 per person, you have the opportunity to get your hands on an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet. They'll offer the usual of eggs and Belgium waffles, but they'll also add a sushi station, pulled chicken nachos and butterscotch pudding. Continue to celebrate with $6 Bloody Marys and River North Mimosas.
