Best Super Bowl Sunday Specials In Chicago

Ring in another Super Bowl Sunday with a chili cook off, meats to go, all you can't eat buffets and even more food and drink specials. The Super Bowl is Sunday, February 1st so get out your stretchy pants and start counting down the days until you actually look forward to the commercials (I mean the big game, too).

In honor of the biggest game of the year, Compass Bar in Lincoln Park will feature a specialty Super Bowl Chili Frito Pizza for $10. Guests can catch the game on eight TVs throughout the bar with the sound on. The perfect complement to pizza and football, the restaurant's beer list features 200 different beers, 20 of which are available on tap. Highlights include Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, Firestone Walker Double Jack IPA, Allagash Tripel, Delirium Tremens, and Victory Golden Monkey. In addition, Compass Bar will offer free line cards and prize giveaways each quarter.

Catch all the Super Bowl action on Sunday, February 1 at Lobby Lounge located in the ShowPlace Icon Theatre. Sports fans can view the big game on five 50-inch HD TVs located throughout the lounge while sipping on themed cocktails including the "Tequila My Touchdown" (Sauza Silver, Black Raspberry Schnapps, pineapple) and the "Field Goal" (Malibu, ginger ale, pineapple, blue curacao) for $12 each.

At The Pony, fans can enjoy Jameson's free half-time competition in which guests can kick a field goal to win a $250 prize. In celebration of the Super Bowl, Tavern on Little Fort will host a Chili Cook-off beginning at 3 p.m. with judging around half-time. Prizes are as follows: $200 cash (1st place), grill set (2nd place) and Coleman picnic chairs (3rd place). All entrants must bring a crock-pot with their best chili for the "judges" to vote on. For $10, patrons can be a judge and enjoy chili samples, wings, sausage, dips, chips, and veggies. Drink specials will include $3 domestic bottles (Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, High Life, Coors Banquet, Coors Light), $5 microbrew drafts, $4 well drinks and $4 Fireball shots.
