Take a walk down Michigan Avenue and Chicago’s guilty pleasures are displayed like candy. No wonder it’s one of the most popular streets in the country.

Ghirardelli and Hershey’s chocolate are right across the street from each other. Coincidence? I think not. Chocolate lovers go wild daily in these stores, including myself. You can find all of your favorites, including chocolate and peanut butter, dark chocolate, chocolate and raspberry, fudge, white chocolate — Mmm…. chocogasm!

Wine and Chocolate

Eno has the best selection of chocolate and wine pairings, hands down. I knew wine and cheese was a great pairing, but Eno’s chocolate is OMG, to die for. I don’t think there is anything I love more than that combination. Well, except for a fabulous pair of five-inch pumps.

Shoe Fetish

I hear angels singing in the distance when I walk into the Nordstrom’s famous shoe department. This Nordstrom carries all the high-end shoes as well, which is unlike any other Nordstrom in the area. Hello Michael Kors pumps, I think I’ll take you. Then I will stroll up the Mag Mile to hit up Aldo to match my cocktail dress and, then on to Nine West to match my business suit. Life. Is. Rough.

Expensive Handbags

Take a walk down Michigan Avenue and you’ll find multiple stores to satisfy your cravings. Coach, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Michael Kors you name it. You can even stop by Neiman Marcus to have them all in one place. For those of you with handbag fetishes, push your pleasure buttons by just window-shopping a few blocks.

Extravagant Spa Treatments

In my opinion, the best spa in Chicago is the Peninsula Spa by ESPA. This spa has every treatment you can imagine, including a full gym with personal training, complimentary classes, a lap pool and a sun deck. Everyone deserves a great spa treatment, and here you are treated like royalty. Too expensive for you? Come by the Prudential Plaza and receive fabulous manicures and pedicures by Nailcessity. While you will have to skip the massage they have your waxing, threading, and eye lash perms!

I know you’ve been waiting for me to bring this one up because when you think guilty pleasures, this is the first thing that comes to mind. Get your head out of the gutter! I enjoy tasteful, which includes the luxurious La Perla or the less expensive, but just as pretty, Victoria’s Secret. Both are very elegant and both know how to drive your significant other crazy.

Stuart Weitzman never closed – they have a beautiful boutique located on Level One of The Shops at North Bridge at 520 North Michigan Avenue (the Nordstrom-anchored shopping center). Hopefully this article can be updated with the correct information.

How can Ghiradelli and Hershey’s be “across the street from each other” when both have even-number addresses?

  • Fashion Faux Fas Checker

@Erica – Stuart Weitzman use to have storefront at 900 N Michigan (Michael Kors has taken over the space since then). They then moved to The Shops at North Bridge. I’m not sure where it is you see Alycia claiming that it closed anywhere on this blog or mentioning the name Stuart Weitzman at all.

Keep up the awesome blogs Alycia!!!

  • @Directionally Challenged

There is a street called Pearson that runs east and west between them. It is actually quite obvious how this can happen.
