From May 16 - May 26, take advantage of Craft Beer Week in Chicago. For eleven days you can enjoy craft beer events, tastings and special menus across the city at participating restaurants, bars and breweries.

5-7 p.m.
Paul Wonak of Two Brothers Brewing Company will be at Franklin Tap on Thursday, May 16. Two Brothers beers will be sampled, including old favorites and new recipes. The sampling event is free to attend. Pints of the featured brews will be $4; a Franklin Tap $4 Foursome (four beer sampler, 4 ounces each) will also be available.
Franklin Tap's great beer program offers 11 draughts on tap, 47 by the bottle and 12 canned.
Wednesday, May 22
5-7 p.m.
Harry Mihilidis, of New Belgium Brewing, will be at Franklin Tap on Wednesday, May 22. Six New Belgium brews will be on draft including: Rampant IPA; Shift Pale Lager; and Biere de Garde. All New Belgium brews will be $4 each, all day (11 a.m.-midnight). The beer sampling and informal event is free to attend.

Hinterland Meet the Brewer/Firkin Tapping
Tied to the Hinterland Brewery of the month, Bar on Buena will be hosting a Hinterland Meet the Brewer/Firkin tapping. Brewer Mike Motousek will be there and tappings include Cheer Wheat, IPA and a special Firkin for the occasion. Tapping occurs at 7:00 p.m.

Founders Tapping
At 7:00 p.m., Bar on Buena will be cracking open a case of Founders Brewery Kentucky Breakfast Stout, some 2011 Breakfast Stout bottles and tapping a keg of Double Trouble.

CCBW Medieval Night with Sixpoint Gruitbeer
BOB & Sixpoint Brewery offer a special tapping of the Sixpoint Mad Scientist Series #13: Gruitbeer. In keeping with the Medieval theme of this lost style beer, there will be a screen of Monty Python & the Holy Grail for viewing pleasure. For eating pleasure, enjoy a huge smoked turkey leg prepared. Extra points if you dress up in armor. Or with a sword.
