September Festival Round-Up

As summer winds down in the city, there are still a number of festivals to check out this September. From art, food and music, there are plenty of fests to keep you entertained before fall.

Lakeview East Festival Of The Arts

Saturday: 10am-6pm / Sunday: 10am-5pm

The Lakeview East Festival of the Arts is a fun, diverse arts festival. The fest will feature more than 175 artists showcasing paintings, sculpture, photography, furniture, jewelry and more. Live demonstrations and entertainment stages will also be playing throughout the weekend. Almost every type of art can be found at this amazing neighborhood festival. From photography, ceramics, fiberglass, sculpture and furniture there are also various price points available for every shopper.

Riot Fest

Riot Fest is coming to Chicago's Humboldt Park with great music, food, entertainment and more. The 3-day festival will feature bands such as; The Replacements, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Pixies, Violent Femmes, Rancid, Blondie, Joan Jett and many, many more! Tickets range from $59 for a single day pass or $124 for one-day VIP pass. Tickets are selling out quickly.

This free admission festival will take place through September 22nd throughout the city of Chicago. The fest is presented by the City of Chicago and produced by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. Fun Fact: This citywide festival has attracted over 600,000 concertgoers and has presented more than 600 artists and ensembles from over 80 countries since it began in 1999.

Food trucks from across the city unite for one weekend of deliciousness! $5.00 admission gets you access to some of the best food trucks in the city, all in one place. Aside from food trucks, you'll find, chef driven restaurant vendors, chef demonstrations and live music by Empty Bottle Presents. There will also be hands-on activities for both adults and kids.
